Free SEO checker for any page
Enter a URL and we'll audit it the way a search engine reads it — status code, indexability, canonical, title and meta description, headings, word count, alt text and schema — then score it and tell you exactly what to fix.
Fixing on-page SEO is step one. Ranking — and getting cited — is the job.
A clean audit gets you in the game. Winning takes content that answers better than competitors, entity-consistent schema, authority signals and visibility in AI answers. That's OptiSEOn's SEO, AEO, GEO and LLM optimization, end to end.

What does an on-page SEO checker check?
This checker fetches your page the way a search engine does and audits the elements you control on the page: the HTTP status code and any redirects, whether the page is indexable (meta robots, X-Robots-Tag and robots.txt), the canonical tag, the title tag and meta description, the H1 and heading structure, visible word count, image alt text, schema markup, the mobile viewport, the language attribute, Open Graph tags and internal links.
How is the SEO score calculated?
Each check is weighted by how much it affects rankings and indexing — status code, indexability and the title tag carry the most weight. A pass earns the full weight, a warning earns half and an error earns nothing. The score is the percentage of available points earned. It is a prioritisation guide, not a ranking prediction.
How long should a title tag and meta description be?
Google truncates by pixel width, not characters. Titles display up to roughly 580 pixels (usually 50–60 characters) and meta descriptions up to roughly 920 pixels on desktop (usually 140–160 characters). The checker measures the actual pixel width so you know whether your text will be cut off — and our title and meta description generator writes versions that fit.
How many words should a page have for SEO?
There is no fixed number. Pages under about 300 words are often too thin to fully answer a query, so the checker flags them, but a contact page can be short and still perform well. Aim to cover the topic completely for the searcher's intent rather than hitting a word count.
Does schema markup help SEO and AI search?
Schema markup is not a direct ranking factor, but it makes pages eligible for rich results and gives search engines and AI systems like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews unambiguous facts about your business and content. The checker detects JSON-LD, Microdata and RDFa and flags JSON-LD that is invalid and therefore ignored. Missing it? The schema markup generator builds it from your page.
Is this website SEO checker free?
Yes. There is no signup and no email gate. You can run up to 40 checks per day, and results for the same URL are cached for an hour.
